Question
You know those people who aren't fat, but have extra fat on the inner part of their knees, I saw it on "The Swan" - people getting knee liposuction to make their legs shapelier. Is there a name for this procedure? I don't need the criticism from you snobby perfect kneed people. lol
Answer
Yes. Liposuction is for spot fat removal, in areas that haven't responded to other measures like diet and exercise. It can be done on the knees, as well as the areas such as the hips, thighs, etc. Make sure if you are considering this that you use a qualified cosmetic surgeon who has experience in this area - it's delicate and you don't want to risk joint injury. There are different types of liposuction, with tumescent being more common. Ultrasound and lasers are also used in conjunction with liposuction.
